“From Generation Z to Generation Beta: The Future of Education and the Role of Institutions”

As part of its engagement with global initiatives aimed at advancing humanity in the digital transformation era, BrandTells, represented by its CEO, Dr. Basem Shahin, participated in XI INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “MODERN VALUES OF PRESCHOOL CHILDHOOD: REALITIES AND PROSPECTS” held in the Russian city of Anapa, organized by «Center for Continuing Professional Education «Personnel-Resource».

Dr. Shahin delivered the opening speech on behalf of the international experts attending the event. He also presented an in-depth session titled “From Generation Z to Generation Beta: The Future of Education and the Role of Institutions.” The presentation traced the evolution of technology’s role in education, beginning with the Millennial generation when technology appeared only modestly through occasional video screenings or overhead projectors before gradually becoming a central and influential component in the learning process. It also highlighted the shift toward an AI-driven era and the emergence of Generation Alpha and Generation Beta, where children today are raised and educated within environments deeply embedded with AI. The presentation further examined the challenges that may arise with the absence of ethical from AI development and how this can shape the consciousness of future generations.

BrandTells’ presentation also explored the experience of Generation Z, born alongside the rise of the internet and raised in a global cultural moment shaped by the perceived triumph of globalization and Western influence following the collapse of the Soviet Union. It offered a critical analysis of the values instilled in Generation Z and the broader push to detach this generation from its national and cultural issues in favor of a globalized identity focused primarily on individual concerns. Dr. Shahin explained how a series of major global events reshaped the worldview of Generation Z and reconnected it with its local and societal identity highlighting pivotal moments such as the events of September 11 and the subsequent “War on Terror,” the Cambridge Analytica scandal, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which awakened the conscience of youth worldwide and mobilized millions in defense of the very values that were once used to justify the narrative of the powerful.

In conclusion, BrandTells emphasized the importance of safeguarding digital sovereignty within an educational framework that recognizes that the role of education is not to produce automated or compliant generations, but rather conscious, critically minded individuals capable of discerning credible information from misleading content. The presentation also underscored the essential role of governments in regulating artificial intelligence and embedding ethical principles into AI applications amid the accelerating digital transformations shaping today’s world.

BrandTells extended its appreciation to the conference organizers, including conference founder and president Alla Yourevna Datsko, the Director of the Institute for Training and Resources, Sergei Danilovich Datsko, and the entire organizing team.
